The Aruna Project
On The Aruna Project
The Aruna Project is a fair trade athleisure nonprofit that helps bring freedom to survivors of human trafficking. The Aruna Project has been featured in the New York Times as a "best yoga gift." Founded in 2014, the brand operates in India and the US, with a mission to empower sexually exploited women through meaningful employment. They currently employ nearly 100 staff and freed artisans in both locations with a primary focus on adult survivors of sexual exploitation.
The inspiration behind their mission is rooted in the belief that every person deserves to be free. All proceeds from their products and events directly support the cause, ensuring that every contribution helps in freeing, employing, and empowering more women.
