What are The Joffa Journals?
At Joffa, every accessory, handbag, and decor item we offer has the potential to become part of a cherished memory or a meaningful moment in life. We love knowing that our products have the power to forge connection and joy. But beyond the items themselves, the Joffa team treasures the stories of empowerment and positive life change woven into each piece—we thrive of moments of impact and the journeys our brand represents.
That's why we're incredibly excited to launch The Joffa Journals, a community-driven open call writing club designed to celebrate the diverse, personal narratives of our incredible customers, supporters, and partners. This is a space where we'll explore purpose driven stories, pivotal life moments, meaningful experiences, and the profound connections that shape us. Each quarter, we'll introduce a new theme, inviting you to share your unique reflections and anecdotes.
Our very first series under this new umbrella is called "Gifted." This series focuses on the heart and soul of giving and receiving—and the positive change it can inspire. We believe the true meaning of a gift lies in its ability to create a lasting impact. Whether it's a gift you received that connected you to a larger mission, a present you gave that forged an unforgettable bond of purpose, or a humorous mishap that still led to a meaningful lesson, we want to hear your story about being Gifted. How Does A Writing Club Work?
Here's how our writing club will work. We'll release a new storytelling prompt each quarter for The Joffa Journals. For our current "Gifted" series, simply write your piece (we recommend aiming for 500-700 words, but authenticity and impact are key!), and submit it through our portal by the specified deadline. Our team will review all submissions, and we'll select 3-5 stories from this series to be featured on our blog.
Each selected story will be paired with beautiful imagery created by our team or supplied by our writer, and then will be shared across our social media channels and in our email newsletters. If selected, you'll be encouraged to promote it on your own platforms as well! It's a fantastic opportunity to share your voice, inspire others, and see your story celebrated as part of the Joffa community.

What are the eligibility requirements for "The Joffa Journals" entries?
Below are the eligibility requirements for the Gifted series on Joffa.com:

Original Content: All submitted stories must be original work, written by the submitter, and not previously published elsewhere (including personal blogs, social media, or other websites).

Thematic Alignment:

Entries must directly address the current "Gifted: A Joffa Journal Series" prompt: "What's the most meaningful gift you've ever given, and how did it create a ripple effect of positive impact for the recipient or yourself?" or “Describe a time when a gift, regardless of its monetary value, profoundly shifted your perspective or illuminated a path toward purpose.”

Stories should align with Joffa's core values of impact, purpose, thoughtfulness, and positive change.

Storytelling Focus: Submissions should be narrative-based, focusing on personal experience and storytelling rather than "how-to" advice or product reviews.

Word Count: Entries should generally fall within 500-700 words to allow for sufficient detail and impact without being overly lengthy.

Tone & Language: Stories should be authentic, inspiring, and written in a respectful, positive tone. English language submissions are required.

Appropriate Content:

Content must be family-friendly and free from offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language or themes.

Avoid direct promotion of other brands, products, or services.

Submission Method: Entries must be submitted via the designated online submission form on Joffa.com to ensure all necessary information is collected.

Grant of Rights: Submitters must agree to grant Joffa.com the right to publish, edit (for clarity, grammar, and length), promote, and distribute their story across Joffa's digital channels (blog, social media, email, etc.) if selected.

Age Requirement: Submitters must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible.

Compensation: Writers of a chosen piece will be gifted one (1) piece of Joffa jewelry of their choice, at up to a $75 value. May swap to a more relevant item if preferred.
