DuHope
On DuHope
The company provides their artisans with counseling and teaches reading, writing, counting and financial literacy to open doors to more employment opportunities in the future. With the help of DuHope, these women break the cycle of generational poverty and limited work opportunities.
The women spend the first part of the day learning and the second part of the day creating jewelry, where they earn a dignified wage and 50% of the profits of each piece. DuHope provides childcare, tutoring and healthy meals for the artisans’ children while they learn and work.
