      About Joffa

      On 2nd Story Goods

80% of Haitian orphans have at least one living parent who was forced to give their child up due to poverty. With a focus on reuniting families, 2nd Story Goods employs local artisans, such as Atelier Calla, and pays 5x the minimum wage in Haiti — giving every family the chance for a 2nd story!

Most of their makers live in Gonaives and Jubilee, a small developing community on the outskirts of Gonaives. All products are made using locally sourced or recycled materials. Artisans are given opportunities for development through their leadership program and they are working towards funding the community’s first grocery store with refrigeration.

      Joffa

As a nonprofit artisan marketplace committed to social and environmental transparency, Joffa bridges the gap between maker and buyer and prioritizes the person behind every product. Our mission is to make it easier to do what you’re already doing — making socially conscious shopping decisions while finding quality items you actually want to buy.
